It has just been announced that Brazilica has been nominated in the ‘Best Cultural Event’ category at the prestigious Brazilian International Press Awards.

The awards ceremony – with editions in the United States, Japan and the United Kingdom – celebrate the most active Brazilian communities outside of the home nation and are supported by the Consulate General of Brazil in London and Embassy of Brazil in the UK.

Following suggestions received from the public, organizations and initiatives that promote the various aspects of the Brazilian presence in the UK, an esteemed panel of representatives from the media, cultural organisations and community in Brazil and in the UK have whittled the nominees down from ten to just five per category. The Electoral College will announce the winners on the 15th of August, a month before the awards ceremony, which is scheduled to take place on Saturday 22nd September at the Hilton Canary Wharf, London.
